VODW acquired by EY — one of the largest consulting deals in the Netherlands
EY Advisory acquires VODW in one of the largest management consulting deals in Dutch history — bringing together 100+ professionals including a fast-growing data science practice.
In July 2018, EY Advisory acquired VODW — one of the largest management consulting deals in the Netherlands in recent history. More than 100 professionals joined EY’s Advisory division, significantly expanding its data science, digital transformation and customer experience capabilities.
VODW, founded in 1983, had built a strong reputation in strategic marketing, data science and digital transformation for clients in financial services, retail and industry. The acquisition gave EY Netherlands a team of around 400 professionals and revenue of approximately €70 million.
For the data science practice at VODW — which had grown rapidly in the years before the transaction — the combination meant scale, enterprise reach, and a stronger platform to deploy advanced analytics alongside EY’s global advisory footprint.
