In 2019, Goboony raised €579K through crowdfunding — 290% above its original €200K target. The raise was driven by the platform’s own community of campervan owners and travellers, reflecting genuine grassroots confidence in the model.

At the time of the raise, Goboony reported 300% growth over the prior year. More than 1,600 campervan owners had shared their vehicles on the platform, sending over 15,000 people on motorhome holidays across the Netherlands and beyond.

The funding allowed Goboony to accelerate its community-first growth strategy and deepen partnerships with complementary platforms. Shortly after, Goboony partnered with MyWheels — a Dutch car-sharing platform — to take over all campervans from their platform, significantly expanding Goboony’s fleet.

Why Commit Capital backed Goboony early, seeing a founder team with clear conviction and a marketplace model built on genuine community demand — not just capital-fuelled growth.
